Christmas Day and Boxing Day 2017

Please make a provisional booking by phone or email and confirm within one week with a 25 %, non-refundable deposit. We require your menu choices and final payment by 11 December 2017. Do advise dietary requirements with menu choices so that we can provide substitutes as required. Please book a table to sit down at 12.00 hrs. ,13.30 hrs. 15.00 hrs or 16.30 hrs. Our restaurant and bar will close at 19.00 hrs. to give our staff Christmas at home. Please arrange for transport and taxis in advance. Over the Christmas period taxis cannot be called on the day.

Cream of tomato soup with basil, ricotta cheese & parmesan and bread fingers
Chicken liver, pancetta and mushroom tartlet with shallot & orange marmalade (Vegetarian version available)
House pate with Cumberland sauce & toasted brioche
Smoked salmon with rye bread, capers, shallot and quails egg
Seafood vol au vent with tarragon cream sauce

In-between;

Selection of sorbets or a cup of fragrant vegetable bouillon

Main courses

Turkey breast roast with honey glaze, in a smoked bacon jacket with herb and sausage stuffing.
Accompanied by chipolatas, bread sauce, turkey gravy and cranberry jelly

Goose tournedos wrapped in pancetta with apple, gammon and goose forcemeat.
Served on Champagne and tarragon cream sauce.

Rib eye of beef, beurre maître d’hôtel, béarnaise sauce, mushrooms & tomatoes.

Seafood roast; a selection of fish and shellfish on samphire with saffron sauce.

Onion, tomato & brie tart, parmesan croquettes and roasted artichoke heart on champagne and tarragon cream sauce.
