Christmas Day 2018

 


  Tables may be booked for sit down at 12.00 hrs.  or  15.00 hrs. We do require  a 10 % deposit with booking and full prepayment and meal choices latest  by 10 December 2018. Do advise dietary requirements at the time of reservation so we can provide substitutes as required. Our restaurant and bar will close at 7.00 pm to give our staff a Christmas at home. Please arrange for transport and taxis in advance. Taxis cannot be called on the day. 
The menu will  be changed  a little before Christmas Day 2018 with  more vegetarian choices and  options to accommodate  specific dietary requirements.

Chicken liver, pancetta and mushroom tartlet with shallot & orange marmalade

House pate with Cumberland sauce & toasted brioche

Smoked salmon with rye bread, capers, shallot and quails egg

Turkey breast roast with honey glaze, in a smoked bacon jacket with herb and sausage stuffing.
Accompanied by chipolatas, bread sauce, turkey gravy and cranberry jelly.

Goose confit with apple, gammon and goose force meat on Champagne and tarragon reduction sauce.

Rib eye of beef, beurre maître d’hôtel, béarnaise sauce, mushrooms & tomatoes.

Seafood roast; a selection of fish and shellfish on samphire with saffron sauce.

Onion, tomato & brie tart, parmesan croquettes and roasted artichoke heart on champagne and tarragon cream sauce.
