Chef (Part time)

We are looking for a part time chef working approximate 16 to 20 hours weekly over 2
consecutive days including 1 alternating Friday, Saturday or Sunday.

Job requirements;
Traditional French or European cookery skills.
Menu preparation "on the go" with ingredients as available.
Open minded and pragmatic attitude able to adapt to a small business environment.
Sole chef serving up to 15 covers.
Managing a very compact and simple equipped kitchen.
Hygiene regulations awareness and hands on cleaning.

Whilst no age requirements are implied this position would
ideally suit a retired chef seeking part time employment.
The position is also suitable as a "2nd job".

This is not a training or learning position but may be suitable
for a institutional catering chef to hone his or her cookery skills
in which case some training and guidance is available.

Maintenance Worker 1 & 1/2 day per week

We need a colleague to help us with maintenance. The position is for 1 and a half day per week and hours are flexible but must include one “fixed day” at least. This position is ideally suited to a person wishing to continue working after a career stop or retirement from plumbing, electrics, maintenance, carpentry or building trade.
The position may also be suitable for a 18+ "2nd jobber" or 18 + student with above average DIY skills. The work encompasses decorating, gardening, carpentry, plumbing, minor electrics and an amount of wizardry!

You must be able to smile at all times, take some initiative and roll up your sleeves when necessary. You need to be fit and healthy & able to lift heavy objects or have the skills to move heavy objects without extraordinary physical effort. You must be able to work on your own. We ask you to send by email a simple precise CV detailing previous work and education. In addition we require a reference from a previous employer, teacher or other person for whom you may have carried out duties like charitable work. This position is for a minimum agreed number of hours with a fair hourly rate above minimum wage, 3 months’ probation and 12 monthly reviews.
